Federal authorities and Albuquerque Police are searching for actor Timothy Busfield after an arrest warrant was issued over child abuse allegations.
Busfield, best known for 'The West Wing,' faces charges of criminal sexual contact with a minor and child abuse. Legal documents state that a child actor accused him of inappropriate touching on the set of the Fox series 'The Cleaning Lady' when the boy was seven and eight years old.
Affidavits reveal the young actor feared reporting the incidents because Busfield was a director on the show and held a position of authority.
Warner Bros. Television, co-producers of 'The Cleaning Lady,' said protecting minors is a top priority and confirmed full cooperation with law enforcement. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities or the Child Help Hotline.
